Child Find refers to the process of locating, identifying, and evaluating children with disabilities to ensure that they receive services to which they are entitled. Children and youth, ages birth to 21, living in Oglethorpe County, who are suspected of having a disability, may be referred for a possible evaluation to determine if they are eligible for special education services using The Georgia Department of Education criteria.
Georgia Special Needs Scholarship (GSNS) is a parental choice program for special needs students attending Georgia public schools who are served under an Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

Services for Home Schooled Students with Disabilities - During the FY23 school year, Oglethorpe County Schools will provide speech and reading services to home school students with disabilities up to the proportionate share amount of the special education federal funds received.
