The end of the school year is approaching quickly, and we have several important updates and celebrations to share!
🎓 Senior Edition – Celebrate Our Graduates
The Echo is once again sponsoring a special Senior Edition featuring photos of all the graduates. Families also have the opportunity to celebrate their favorite senior by placing an ad. Please click the link (Echo Senior Ad) to view an example and access the order form:
🍎 National Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4–8)
Next week is National Teacher Appreciation Week, and we encourage everyone to take a moment to recognize the incredible educators and staff who make a difference every day. Each school has shared ways families can show appreciation, but never underestimate the power of a handwritten note—it truly means so much!
📚 School Supplies for Next Year
We are excited to share that the school system will be providing most school supplies for students next year. Families will only need to purchase a bookbag and headphones. A detailed supply list will be sent home at the end of the year and posted on our website.
👕 T-Shirts & Car Decals Update
Due to the artist’s restrictions, we are no longer able to use the floral design for our car decals. A new heart design has been added to the order form. To see the new design and access the order form, click the link: T-Shirt and Decal Flyer
This new heart is an option for those who support OC but may not live here, as we have removed the “Made in OC” wording. Please note - while the website may still show the previous design, all orders will receive the updated version. You will need to click on the old floral design to order this new option - they are not updating the order website!
If you previously ordered the floral decal and prefer not to receive the new design, please contact us for a refund.
Otherwise, no action is needed, your order will be fulfilled with the updated decal.
⏰ Important Deadlines:
T-shirt and decal orders close tomorrow - Sunday, May 3.
Last day to request a military shirt is Monday
Military shirts:
Active military: Free
Veterans/retired (honorable discharge): $15
To order, please email Sue Ann Blalock at sblalock@oglethorpe.k12.ga.us and specify that it is for a military shirt.
We will also provide shirts for graduating seniors entering the military—please email me their size.
📝 Testing & End-of-Year Activities
Thank you for supporting strong attendance during testing—we truly appreciate your partnership! We still have a few test days remaining, and we encourage students to continue doing their very best.
As we approach the final weeks of school, please also remind your child(ren) to stay focused and finish strong.
