Good evening,
I hope you all had a good fall break.
I sent out the calendar options for parents, staff, and students to provide feedback. In case you missed it, here is a link to the two calendar options (https://5il.co/3r0xt) and below is the link for the survey.

Our Teachers of the Year were recognized at the board of education meeting on Tuesday night, and our Classified Employees of the Year will be recognized at the November 4th meeting. We are so proud of each of our Teachers and Classified Employees of the Year; it is a huge honor to be selected by your peers. Here are the representatives from each school:
OCES – Marianne Camacho and Anel Utley
OCMS – Kristin Byce and Alicia Kirk
OCHS – Jennifer Yauck and Rindy Hitchcock
The Patriot Health Hub is up and running. We have removed the option for online appointments at this time due to the calendar filling up with non-system related patients. We particularly want our students, staff and their families to have the first chance at appointments. Please call 706-668-4074 to schedule an appointment. The Patriot Health Hub has been open seven days and has seen 37 students, 5 staff members, and 10 community members, for a total of 52 patients. The health hub can handle sick visits, immunizations, vaccinations, sports physicals, and well visits. It also has a full-time behavioral health therapist who can see students for a variety of reasons from anxiety and depression to family relationships. Please call the Patriot Health Hub to get scheduled.
For those parents who prefer a teletherapy mental health experience, the school system has partnered with Daybreak Health, a school-based mental health company, to provide teletherapy to our students. When kids are mentally healthy, they can think clearly, pay better attention, and learn new skills. Students are matched with qualified clinicians who can help them with issues such as anxiety, depression, attention & focus, relationships, stress, and more.
You can submit a Care Request here for your child. The teletherapy program lasts 12-24 weeks and appointments are available Monday - Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. The therapy session content will remain confidential.
For younger students (ages 5-9) Daybreak offers a family therapy program where you attend the sessions with your child. For older students (ages 10+) Daybreak offers a 1:1 program where your child meets individually with a clinician. For more information or to speak with a Care Coordinator email carecoordinator@daybreakhealth.com or call 415-992-6155.
Most insurance companies are accepted.
Last week we sent a Patriot News that was packed with important information. If you did not read it, you can download a copy here or get a hard copy in the front office of your child’s school. Patriot News 2025-26
