Dual Enrollment

What is dual enrollment?
Earning college credits, while in high school. Georgia’s Dual Enrollment Program provides students enrolled at an eligible public or private high school or home study program in Georgia the opportunity to earn high school and college credit at a participating eligible postsecondary institution in Georgia.

Georgia’s Dual Enrollment Program offers students the opportunity to experience college courses and begin their college academic career while still in high school and provides for standard tuition, mandatory fees and required books.

Requirements to participate:

  • Students must have 3.0 ACADEMIC GPA.

  • Students must have their own transportation.

  • Students must be self-motivated and disciplined.

  • Students must meet the admissions requirements of the colleges they wish to apply to:

    • Age/Grade Level

    • GPA

    • College Entrance test scores

College Athletics- NCAA / NAIA

Interesting in playing at the next level? Students should register for the eligibility centers by the end of sophomore year. Fee waivers are available for students who meet the requirements.

*Students planning to attend a 4 year college or university are required to have 2 years of the same modern language

Promotion Requirements:
9th to 10th grade: 5 credits
10th to 11th grade: 11 credits
11th to 12th grade: 17 credits
