We are thrilled to announce for the 2024-25 school year, ALL students regardless of income will receive FREE Breakfast and FREE Lunch each day! This means every student enrolled in our schools can enjoy breakfast and lunch at no charge! Thank you to our Nutrition Department for working tirelessly to ensure we can take advantage of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program this school year! There will be no lunch forms coming home; however, parents of high school students may still be asked to complete a waiver form for ACT, SAT and AP testing. This news aligns with our commitment to remove barriers to student learning and ensures all students have access to nutritious meals, which is essential for their academic success! Join us in celebrating this wonderful step towards ensuring ALL our students are well-fed and ready to learn! For more details on this program, please see the Frequently Asked Questions attached or visit the following link for the announcement from the GA DOE. https://oglethorpecountyga.sites.thrillshare.com/article/1687731

With less than 3 weeks to go before the 1st day of school, we have less than half of the students’ verification of residency! All school offices are now open - so please make sure you are dropping off the documentation or uploading it! Just some points of clarification: The documentation is for PROOF OF RESIDENCY. It needs to reflect where the student will be “laying down their head to rest”. In other words, if you own property in Oglethorpe, but you live in another county, the other county is your residence and where you would enroll in school! Please note - students in grades 3, 6 and 9 who do not have their verification completed will not be able to get their schedule at open house. Please plan ahead and use the next week to get the documentation taken care of. If you uploaded your documentation, you will only receive a call if you need to provide additional information. We will be at Community Day. We can let you know if documentation has been submitted, however, we will not be collecting information that night! 3rd grade:  https://tinyurl.com/ycd3vhww 6th grade:  https://tinyurl.com/2wy4yf57 9th grade:  https://tinyurl.com/46psetjj
