OCMS is currently in a lock-down practice drill. All students and staff are safe–they are just taking the necessary steps to test our new safety system and procedures.
At this time, OCMS students can not check-in or check-out. We will notify parents as soon as the lock-down drill is over.

Would you like input on Oglethorpe County Schools?! Just a reminder that our Community Listening Session will be held on Monday, March 10th at 6:30 pm. It will be held in the cafeteria at OCHS.
We value your feedback. ALL parents, staff, grandparents, community members, and middle and high school students are encouraged to come and share what is going well and areas we need to grow.
These community listening sessions, which are held every two years, have brought about many changes due to input we have received from those participating. Some of the changes over the years have included:
*Improving our communication both internally and externally
*Providing facility upgrades, including lights on the softball and baseball fields as well as a new track
*Launching our ASPIRE afterschool program
*Providing dual enrollment opportunities on our high school campus
*Improving campus safety, including the hiring of SROs

We are looking forward to welcoming the community for the final walk through at the primary school this afternoon from 1:30 - 5:00 pm. Please park and enter through the front doors or between the wings.
Due to the snow on Friday, some surplus sale items have not been picked up yet! Those rooms have been clearly marked with caution tape. Please do not go in those rooms.
If you see items that you would like in non marked rooms, please check with a school employee, but you will most likely be able to take those items with you. We ask that you consider making a donation to the school for these items. Items that are available to take with you are, chairs, desks, tables, files cabinets, white boards, bulletin boards, clocks, etc.
