New Morning Traffic Pattern for 2nd Graders:
Due to the large number of car riders at the Primary School, we are going to adjust our morning drop off area for 2nd grade students. The front of the school will remain the primary drop off location. However, if you have a 2nd grade student and they can exit the vehicle from the passenger side, the rear of the school entrance will be open from 7:20-7:50 for drop off as well as the current drop off location. This entrance is located around the back of the school near the cafeteria. There will be cones placed in the back of the school.
Please stay to the right of the cones before the drop off. On your way out, please yield to our school buses, as they will be using this back road as well. You will follow the road around the back of the school and join the other exiting car riders.
If you drop off after 7:50 am, there will be no change!
Thank you for your patience as we attempt to speed up this process.
Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
Our Board of Education got to recognize all the hard work from our nutrition department to make it possible for all students to eat FREE this year!

Our buses are running about 30 minutes late. Traffic got backed up on Highway 22 due to the sheer volume of car riders! Thank you for your patience!

WELCOME BACK! Just a reminder today is the first day of school! Please be mindful of school zones and school buses loading and unloading! Watch out for our kids!
Please remember to be patient with the buses as this is their first day too! Always stop when the sign is out. And treat every bus as if your own child is on it.
Please be patient too as there will be more car riders these first few days!
We hope everyone has a great first day of school and a wonderful year!

Piedmont Urgent Care is offering $25 sports physical appointments!

With less than 3 weeks to go before the 1st day of school, we have less than half of the students’ verification of residency!
All school offices are now open - so please make sure you are dropping off the documentation or uploading it!
Just some points of clarification: The documentation is for PROOF OF RESIDENCY. It needs to reflect where the student will be “laying down their head to rest”. In other words, if you own property in Oglethorpe, but you live in another county, the other county is your residence and where you would enroll in school!
Please note - students in grades 3, 6 and 9 who do not have their verification completed will not be able to get their schedule at open house.
Please plan ahead and use the next week to get the documentation taken care of. If you uploaded your documentation, you will only receive a call if you need to provide additional information.
We will be at Community Day. We can let you know if documentation has been submitted, however, we will not be collecting information that night!
